This policy covers both the MillyLog app (Part A) and this website (Part B). No personal data from the app is processed by the provider (see Section 3).
A. The MillyLog App
1. Data Collection and Processing
MillyLog stores all entered data (nursing times, meals, notes) exclusively on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.
2. Data Stored
- Timestamps of nursing and feeding sessions
- Notes about meals
- Baby profiles (name, date of birth, gender, profile picture)
- Exported JSON/CSV files (only when manually exported by you)
This data may constitute health data within the meaning of applicable data protection law.
3. No Processing by the Provider
All data entered in the app is stored exclusively on your device. The provider does not receive, collect, store, or process any personal data from the app and has no access to it whatsoever. No data is transmitted to the provider or to any third party.
Because the provider does not process any personal data from the app, the provider is not a "controller" within the meaning of Art. 4(7) UK GDPR / EU GDPR in this respect, and no legal basis is required. Any processing of the data you enter is carried out solely by you on your own device and generally falls within the household exemption (Art. 2(2)(c) GDPR).
4. Data Sharing
No data is shared with third parties. The app contains no analytics tools, advertising, or tracking mechanisms.
5. Retention Period
Data is stored for as long as the app is installed on your device or until you delete it manually. Please note that exports or device backups you create (e.g. iCloud backups) are not automatically affected by this.
6. Control and Deletion of Your App Data
You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the app. When exporting, you have full control over your data. Because the provider never receives any app data, the provider cannot provide access to it, rectify it, or erase it – control rests entirely with you on your device. Your rights against the controller are set out in Section 10.

The content and features of this app are intended solely for personal documentation of nursing and feeding sessions. MillyLog does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations, and is not a substitute for them. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any questions or concerns about your or your baby’s health. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice based on information recorded in this app.
B. This Website
8. Hosting
This website (including this privacy policy) is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you access the website, the host automatically processes technical access data (server log files), including your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and information about your browser and operating system. This processing serves the secure, stable, and efficient provision of the website and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This may involve a transfer of data to the USA. GitHub is part of Microsoft; Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition. This website sets no cookies, embeds no third-party content (such as fonts, maps, or videos), and uses neither analytics nor tracking services.
9. Contacting Us by Email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries); where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your enquiry is deleted once it has been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required, but without it we cannot answer your enquiry.
10. Your Rights
In relation to the processing described in Part B, you have the following rights against the controller:
